Made out of solid oak wood, with protective varnish. The varnish protects wood from damp and water, however, it is recommended to dry surface after each use. Do not leave water drops on the surface for a long period of time. 
 
The brass pins are raw, this means that with time, brass will darken and acquire a more 'vintage' look. It is an aesthetic effect very sought after in interior design and vintage lovers.
